Celebrating success with my amazing Trichology study buddies and some of the best consultants/researchers and educators in the business.
Last weekend I attended my first event as a qualified Clinical Trichologist – The International Trichology Congress and Hair Science Awards 2019. A quality event organized for the 3rd time by high profile Trichologist Iain Sallis and respected Hair restoration surgeon Bassam Farjo. The congress was held at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. Experienced Trichologists, such as Eva Proudman, Sharon Wong, Ramon Gilmalt and David Salinger delivered fascinating lectures about hair loss concerns and facts about Trichological Practice around the world. Other related topics presented by respected professionals in their field were hair science research, the chemistry of hair care products, permanent camouflage of hair loss, hair transplant surgery, and how to help protect patients for falling victim to Black Market surgery.
The event incorporated a gala dinner and presentation of the Hair Science Awards 2019. Two of my Trichocare study buddies were finalists in the Outstanding Newcomer category – a particularly noteworthy achievement as Trichocare Education is the most recent addition to Learning providers of Trichology, now making it possible for trichologists to practice with an accredited qualification in the UK.
