Trichology Consultation

Your initial consultation is private, confidential and will take approximately 60–90 minutes. It covers all factors that may be affecting your hair and scalp health.

What to expect in a consultation

  • Discussion of your hair/scalp concerns, lifestyle, heredity, hair care routine, health, nutrition, supplements, and medication
  • Scalp examination with a trichoscope to assess hair follicles and shafts
  • Review of any recent blood test results
  • Photos taken for assessment and follow-up comparison
  • Possible microscopic analysis of hair samples

What to bring

  • Hair care products you use regularly
  • Any supplements you take
  • Prescription medication details
  • Blood test results from the last 4 months (if available)
  • Your GP details

Diagnosis and treatment

Diagnosis is based on your patient history, wellbeing, lifestyle, diet, medication, and overall health. Blood tests may be requested; details can be provided for your GP or for private testing services.

Treatment plans are tailored after all information is gathered. A follow-up consultation is recommended 4–12 months after your first visit.
