About Caroline
Caroline Reeve – Accredited Certified Trichologist CiT iTEC WTS
Hello, I'm Caroline.
With more than 30 years of experience working with hair, a diverse career has shown me how devastating hair loss and scalp concerns are for some people. I developed my interest in the science of hair and all that influences healthy and strong hair growth while teaching hairdressing for over 4 years. My interest led me to study Trichology with TrichoCare Education. Following intense study on the accredited iTEC trichology qualification, I was inspired to register as a certified Consultant Trichologist.
My aim as a trichological practitioner is to help you understand the root cause of your hair or scalp health concern. My advice is focused on providing your body with the effective support needed to combat disruption. Recommendations and solutions will include guidance on evidence based, suitable clinically trialed or natural products, nutritional intake, and lifestyle changes. I have a keen interest in sustainable plant-based diets and ethical products, so I will tailor your treatment plan to include vegan or vegetarian-friendly products or consumables if requested.
My holistic approach to trichology consultation is with the intention to fully understand your personal hair loss concern or scalp disorder. I will talk you through your concerns so that you can make informed choices about effective home-use treatments, that restore hair & scalp health and generally improve wellbeing and self-esteem.
There are numerous myths connected to the cause of hair loss and the best way to care for your hair. Certified trichologists, hair science researchers, and educators around the world are currently working together with the aim to solve the distressing hair mysteries that cause so much concern for hair loss sufferers.
My career with hair started in a salon as an apprentice, I soon became a principal stylist and later managed a salon, before starting my own travelling hair company. After several years, I moved on to coordinate the hairdressing training academy of a well-known German hair product manufacturer. Within this environment, I also carried out product testing, as well as providing advice and solutions to hair care professionals and the public on the national customer helpline.
After having my three children, I returned to work as a trainer/assessor, travelling to salons around South East UK to train, assess, invigilate exams and provide internal verification for work-based learners taking NVQ qualifications in hairdressing.
Once my children became independent, I qualified in Trichology. I gained certification following an intense study on the iTEC (International Therapy Education Council) Certificate in Trichology. My studies included modules on human anatomy and physiology; the immune, endocrine, cardiovascular & digestive systems plus the role of nutrition in Trichology.
I ensure my consultations are in keeping with the ethical standards set by the trusted profession of trichology. I am certified and accredited in Trichology CiT iTEC, a registered member of World Trichology Society WTS, and Trichology Professional Development Programme TPDP.
Whatever your hair or scalp problem, I would love to hear from you. You can speak to me by appointment at a remote/virtual consultation or in a private space at one of my clinics.
